Patricia E. Longnecker

January 6, 1959 — April 27, 2012

Some people are brought into our lives to protect, guide, treasure & LOVE us unconditionally, these people are true Angels on earth and we’re ALL blessed to have had the pleasure to have known and walked along side with our Angel, Patricia Edwina “Patti Cakes” Longnecker, 53. Our beautiful Sister, Aunt, mediator, confidant, “stalker”, travel agent and true friend to so many, was called up to Heaven on April 27th, 2012 to join her Angels. “Patti Cakes” was born January 6th, 1959, in El Paso, Texas to parents Charles Donald “Papa Don” Murphy and Mary Katherine “Mama Cool” Bolton. “Patti Cakes” is preceded in death by her husband and “the love of her life” of 14 years, Bradley “Blue” Longnecker. “Cakes” is survived by her “Number One” (“don’t be jealous.”), Miss Murphy, her Maltese, brother, Mike (Carmen) Murphy, sister Donna Murphy, 5 nieces and nephews, whom she referred as her “babies”, Todd Murphy, Jason (Melissa) Murphy, Donny (Loretta) Henderson, Jennifer (Dan) McGregor, Ashley Murphy, Great Nephew Isaac McGregor, Great-Nieces Halee Murphy and Sarah McGregor, Aunt Nelda Bolton, Cousins, Wayne and Bob (Judy), Elaine, Eva and Rachel, Great Nephews, John and James Bolton and many, many, many precious friends whom she LOVED with all her heart and considered her FAMILY. We ALL LOVED our “Cakes” so very much- her laugh, her energy, the strut that often evolved into a crazy dance, her unique sense of humor and her kind and gentle spirit… there’s only one “Patti Cakes”. Our “Patti Cakes” was the light, life and smile of our family and the one we all went to for a much needed escape from life’s many challenges and much needed advice. If you met her once, you LOVED her forever and she also LOVED you forever. Her laugh was contagious, her spirit was electric and she played an invaluable role in all of our lives. She always ended our daily conversations with,”Have I told you lately how much I love and adore you?” The loss of our “Cakes” is shocking and heart breaking to us all, she will forever be DEEPLY LOVED and will be IMMENSELY missed by us and anyone and everyone who ever had the “EXTRAVAGANZA” to know our girl. Our “Cakes” proudly worked for nearly 20 years with Eric Kistenmacher at Kistenmacher & Company as an accountant and property manager.
