Patricia Ann Ford

Patricia Ann Ford, 87, passed away in El Paso, July 14, 2012. She was born February 6, 1925, in El Paso to Thomas and Marguerite Fagan. She graduated from Loretto Academy and received a journalism degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She married William E. Ford in 1947, and in 1956 they moved to California where they lived for almost fifty years. Patricia was a free-lance writer/photographer, assistant editor of the Chevron travel magazine, and editor of the travel magazine Odyssey. She and her husband enjoyed traveling. Their favorite spot was Yosemite. Patricia is survived by a daughter and her spouse Sharon and AR Miller III and a son Michael Ford; 2 granddaughters Amy and Megan; 2 great-granddaughters; a sister-in-law Rona Fagan as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband William E. Ford, sister Lorraine Myre and brother Thomas Patrick Fagan Jr. Her family thanks the Regency of El Paso who cared for Patricia with love and devotion for over six years. We also thank Hospice of El Paso who helped make the last months of her life peaceful. Pallbearers are Erin Fagan, Jeffrey Ford, Gary McCrory, Ryan McCrory, AR Miller III, Richard Peinado, Joshua Stowell, James Tullius and James Young. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Geise, John Marinchak, Hugh Moore, William Neel and Doug Weller. Donations may be made to Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home, 1100 E. Cliff Dr, El Paso, TX 79902, Huntington’s Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home-West with a Vigil at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
