Patricia "Patsy" Elliott

March 28, 1940 — August 7, 2009

Patricia (Patsy) Beal Kimball Elliott passed away August 7, 2009 after a long illness. Patsy was born March 28, 1940 in El Paso, TX. She was known for her red hair and Texas twang. She graduated from Midland High school, where she met her husband, and after marriage they moved to El Paso in 1959 where their education could continue. After the birth of her four children Patsy received her degree in education in 1972. Being a stay at home mom for ten years, she enjoyed PTA, Girls Scouts, and being a sport’s fan to her family endeavors. Her teaching career began with the EPISD in 1972. She enjoyed teaching at Fannin Elem., Schuster Elem., and The Drug Free Schools Program for 25 years. She was honored in 1987 as a Top Ten Teacher. Patsy was an active member of Kappa Kappa Iota, Red Hat Ladies, Competition Chili Cook, and deaconess at Northgate Christian Church. She lived a happy and fulfilled life with great pride in her wonderful family. Patsy was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela; parents, W.C. and Nell Kimball; and aunts, Virginia Beal and Dr. Grace Beal. She is survived by her loving family: husband of 53 years, Bobby Elliott; daughter, Lee Elliott; sons, David Elliott (Shannon), Chris Elliott (Judi); grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan, Patrick, Andrew, Katherine, Nathan, and Jared; sister, Karen Jones (Bart); and brother, Robert Kimball (Julia). Her family would like to thank Dr. Raul Portillo and Emma Vasques for their years of compassionate care. She and Bobby enjoyed competition chili, traveling to many interesting places, and making many friends on the chili trails in the RV. A Memorial Service will be held at Northgate Christian Church, 5430 Yvette at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 12, 2009. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Northgate Christian Church, Dr. Grace Beal Memorial Scholarship at UTEP, or Chili Appreciation Society International Scholarship.
