Oscar Peregrino passed away in his home in El Paso, TX on Tuesday October 17th.
Oscar was born in El Paso, TX on March 25, 1949. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam conflict. Afterward, he served his community in the Department of Human Services for 30 years. After retirement, he continued to be of service as a substitute teacher in the Socorro and Ysleta school districts for over 18 years.
Oscar is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Alma, his sons Ramon and Michael, daughter-in-law Anahi, cats Cummerbund and Zeferina, and his beloved pup Shrimp. He is also survived by his brothers and their families Santiago, Ramon and Estella and family, Edmundo, and Hector and Lillian and family. In addition, he is survived by countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Oscar joins his heavenly family of Esther, Marina, Eduardo, and Felix as well as his beloved parents Ramon and Josefa.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday October 26th at Sunset Funeral Home East (750 N. Carolina). Rosary Services will be held at 6:00 PM
Chapel Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday October 27th at Sunset Funeral Home East with Interment at 1:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
Oscar is a cherished father, who everyday would say, “I love my sons.” He is an amazing dad, husband, son, brother, uncle, and more. He will be forever missed.
