Oscar Ruben Gutierrez

Oscar Ruben Gutierrez, 64, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024.

Oscar was born in El Paso, TX on August 27, 1959.  He graduated from Lydia Patterson high school and later attended the University of Texas at El Paso majoring in fine arts.  Oscar would later marry the love of his life Martha L. Gutierrez in July 29th, 1988. 

Oscar worked for the Texas Department of human services and retired in 2019.  He loved drawing, singing, and playing his guitar.  He loved spending time with his family the most. 

Oscar was preceded in death by his mother; Zulema Gutierrez, father; Francisco Gutierrez, brother; Jaime Gutierrez, and brother; Francisco (Pancho) Gutierrez.  He leaves behind his wife; Martha Leticia Gutierrez, son; Moises Alberto Gutierrez, daughters; Giuliana Leticia Gutierrez Castillo and Martha Isabel Gutierrez Burns, and grandchildren; Oscar Alberto Gutierrez and Robert Thomas Burns. 

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm on Friday, February 02, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive.
