Olga Pavia Ploss passed peacefully in her sleep on February 8, 2024 at The Heritage House Assisted Living and Adult Day Care in Las Cruces, NM. She was born August 9, 1931 in La Union, NM. The daughter of the late Marcos and Luisa Pavia. After moving around New Mexico and Southern California for several years the family finally settled in Anthony, NM. There Olga attended high school at Gadsden High, graduating with the class of 1950.
A few years later, Olga met David Ploss who was stationed at nearby Biggs Army Airfield. They were married in 1954 and remained happily together for 66 years. Olga was a homemaker, in charge of the household. She was a devoted wife and loving mother to her two sons Mark and Gary Ploss. She loved to cook, and care for her plants and her many turtles. On any given day, the smell of freshly made tortillas lingered throughout the house. She was always there for her family.
