O'Dell Harvey

On June 19, 2019, O’Dell Harvey, born on Sept 15 - 1942, entered into his eternal rest to be in his heavenly fathers home. A loving husband, devoted family man, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, military and civilian retiree, 41 years of service; devoted friend, and child of God. This is just a small glimpse of the man we came to know and cherish. He was the son of Ms. Idora Sampson and to the late Leroy Harvey. He is also preceded in death by his daughter; La’Toya Monique Harvey. He leaves behind to carry on the family legacy his faithful wife of 58 years; Barbara Yvonne Harvey. Daughters; Cheryl Smith, ( “Son” H. B. Smith ), Stephanie Harvey, sons; Anthony Harvey ( Michelle Harvey ), Gregory Harvey ( Erika Harvey ), Darius Minjarez ( Misty ). Three brothers; Horace Harvey, Arthur Burns, Moses Sampson, one sister; Lula Mae Oliver, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. SFC (Ret.) O’Dell Harvey, served in the United States Army for over twenty years garnering several awards, and accolades. He then served the Gov. Civil Service, GSII. O’Dell Harvey was man of few words, but of great conviction having a “Personal Relationship” with our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed, Rest In Peace.
