Nora Faye (Bobbie) Hope, 92, was born to Everett Edward Mayo and Rosa Fuqua Mayo, and went to the loving arms of her savior Jesus Christ on April 8, 2022 Her strong faith manifested in her loving, nurturing care of those in need and her outgoing spirit found friends wherever she went. She overcame adversity with forthrightness, strength and grace. Known to many as “Aunt Bobbie”, she was the glue that kept the family together. She visited distant family in all their locations throughout their lives and remembered them faithfully with cards and gifts.
She is survived by her son Larry Jones, her brother Edward Mayo, grandchildren Jennifer McKay Reyes, Shawn McKay, Vicky Egbert, Angela Smith, Lisa Carr, Justin Jones, Angela Gulock, and 14 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas A. Hope, sisters Dorothy Mayo Joyce Mayo Fisher, and Irma Walker, and twin sister Beulah (Billie) Mayo, and sister-in-law Judy Mayo.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Service will take place at 11:30 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Sun Valley Baptist Church, 9901 McCombs. Committal Service will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
