Nestor Rodriguez, 77 passed away January 31, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a fierce battle of cancer.
Nestor was born in El Paso, Texas on June 16, 1943. He graduated from Bel Air High School and married the Love of his Life, Guadalupe Rodriguez at 17 years old on December 28, 1960. He proudly joined the United States Navy in 1961 and served two tours aboard the USS TOLOVANA and USS VALLEY FORGE during the Vietnam War and was present during Operation Dominic I, which consisted of over 20 atomic blasts testing over Christmas Island in 1962.
Nestor received his Associates of Arts from San Diego Community College and was accepted at UTEP to become a teacher or nurse, but providing for his family was always priority and he could not afford to continue. Nestor was always smiling and he loved spending time with his family, especially his Grandchildren, watching war movies, visiting casinos, coin collecting, and loved all sorts of animals and his pets dearly.
Nestor is preceded in death by his Parents; Miguel Sr. and Margarita Rodriguez, Brothers; Angel and Miguel Jr., and Sisters; Margarita and Ramona. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Brother; Ricardo Rodriguez, Sons; Nestor Rodriguez Jr. and Manuel Rodriguez, and Daughters; Rachel Martinez, Maria Guerra, Sandra Rodriguez, and Julia Rodriguez. He also leaves behind a legacy of 16 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren all of whom dearly love him and will miss him especially his funny jokes.

Visitation; Private – 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm / Public – 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Prayer Service; 7:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Internment; Fort Bliss National Cemetery – Thursday, February 11, 2021 – 10:00am with full Military Honors.
