Nancy Esperanza Guereca De Vargas

On September 9, 2021, Nancy Esperanza Guereca de Vargas, loving mother and grandmother of four surviving children and three grandchildren, entered fully into the presence of our Lord at the age of 86. Esperanza was born in Coahuila, Mexico and was a permanent resident of the United States since 1959. She was a retired registered nurse specializing in pediatrics, OB/GYN, and midwifery who instilled the love of medicine to her children and granddaughter who followed in her footsteps. Esperanza was an adamant believer in loving with the love of Christ underscoring faith, hope, love, and service. Her greatest pride was knowing she raised and educated her children and grandchildren to serve others in the name of God. Esperanza was preceded in death by her father Agustin Guereca, her mother Maria Luisa Aquino de Guereca, sisters Irma, Virginia, Yolanda, brothers Jesus, Enrique, and her eldest son Jose. She is survived by her children, Rosa Esperanza, Maria Isabel, Francisco, and Norma Angelica Vargas; her grandchildren, Rebecca Vargas, Matthew Vargas, Mia Vargas, and her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her loving family, friends, and pets. Visitation will be from 5pm to 9pm on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Funeral services will include the Rosary at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 7 pm, and interment at Mt Carmel cemetery following the mass on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Mt Carmel at 10 am.
