Mirta Thompson

Mirta Thompson entered into the hands of her Lord at the age of 95. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Curtis L. Thompson, her beloved son Angel Arturo Gonzalez Garcia and her beloved son-in-law John M. Downey. She is survived by her loving children; Martin Charles Stansbury (Maru), Melissa Downey, her loving grandchildren; Angelisa Gonzalez Monroy and Mirella H. Downey. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, with Holy Rosary at 6:30PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 10:00AM at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 11:30AM.  Those who cannot attend in person may join the funeral and memorial services virtually on Face book Live at https://www.facebook.com/sunsetfuneralhome (no account is needed).
