Minerva "Minnie" Sanchez

Our beloved Minerva Sanchez passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the age of 93. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed. She graduated from Bowie High School. She worked many years for Courtesy Chevrolet until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband Asuncion Sanchez. She is survived by her children; Anita Barela (Samuel), Daniel Sanchez (Becki), Oscar Sanchez (Sandi), grandchildren; Sarah Whitely (Dane), Leah Sanchez (Brett Sullivan), Alissa Booth (Russell), Erin Priest (James), Andrea Barela, Valerie Barela, great grandchildren; Belén Sullivan, Jackie Sullivan, Elise Whitely, Lauryn Whitely, Aidan Whitely, Scout Booth, Piper Booth, Bryson Priest. A very special gratitude to her companion and caregiver of several years, Sara Gardea for giving her the best care and companionship. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with Holy Rosary at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home -West. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 1:00PM at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa. Internment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 2:30PM.
