Mindy-Ann Peppas

Mindy-Ann Peppas, 54, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in El Paso, Texas. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York and later Queens, she attended nursing school until marrying. She became an Army wife which took her to Missouri, Germany, Michigan, and Texas. She delighted in traveling through Germany, Austria, and Italy with her family while stationed abroad. Mindy settled in El Paso in 1988 but never lost her New York accent. She worked at the Post Exchange and State National Bank. Mindy was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed reading, walking, caring for her home, dogs, and plants as well as time spent volunteering with the Child Crisis Center. She is preceded in death by her father, Julius Gubner and granddaughter, Julianna Lara. Survivors include dedicated husband of 36 years Richard Peppas; daughters, Heather Peppas Lara and Dawn Peppas Romero; mother, Roslyn Gubner; sister, Traci Wesley; brothers, Barry and Michael Gubner; and granddaughter, Phoebe Grace Romero. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm, Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will begin at 1:30pm, Monday, November 28, 2011 at Chapel #3, Fort Bliss. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
