Mike Duran

Mike Duran, 71, a lifelong resident of Socorro, Texas, passed away on November 13, 2011. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and the owner-operator of Mike Duran Trucking for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carmen Duran, and his children, Rebecca Balderrama (George), Larry Duran, Debra Ortiz (Ernie), Jo Anne Duran, Barbara Balderrama (Joe), Linda Duran, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, four siblings, Conrado Duran, Antonio Duran, Rosie Tellez and Emma Hernandez. Pallbearers: Brian Candelaria, Justin Ortiz, Montana Duran, Luis Duran, Alberto Garcia Jr, Dakota Balderrama. Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011 at La Purisima Mission Hall Catholic Church. Interment will be held private. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
