Miguel Villalobos

Miguel Villalobos Sr., 88, passed away, Friday, February 22, 2013. This good-hearted man was loved and respected by all who knew him. He lived all his life in Buena Vista Community. He led his life believing that one was born to love and serve the Lord. He often quoted his mother’s saying “el animo es el bueno, la fuerza Dios la da”. He always held his head high and set an example of strength and integrity, never afraid to show his tender side. He was a truck driver and a lifelong Teamster. His passion was buying, selling and fixing classic Ford Mustangs; he owned Mike’s Classic Mustang Parts. He could often be found lending a hand at Buena Vista Grocery and made many friends of all ages. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Francisca, daughter Teresita, son Salvador (Chava), parents Salvador and Hilaria, five brothers and two sisters. Mike is survived by his sons Mike Jr. (Nancy), Armando (Carmen), Jaime, Gerardo (Claudia), daughters: Mary and Martha (Leopoldo); Grandchildren: Michael, Teresa, Thomas, Stefanie, J.D. and Vicky. He is also survived by two sisters, Godchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are his nephews and grandsons. “For we know that when this tent we live in—our body here on earth—is torn down, God will have a house in heaven for us to live in, a home he himself has made, which will last forever. Eternal Rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.” Visitation will be held from 5-9pm Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home-West with a Vigil at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 10:00 am at Santa Teresita Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
