Michael Wallace Cotton

Michael W. Cotton entered into the hands of his Lord on Monday, June 03, 2024 at the age of 65. He was a loving son, brother and father and he will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Michael honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1980-2000. He went on to work at the Department of Veterans Affairs and retired following 31 years of dedicated service to the Government of the United States.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Narcissie Bernice and Spencer Ray Sr., his brother Spencer Ray Jr., and his sister Gwendolyn. He is survived by his children; daughter Shonté Nicole and son Christopher James, and his siblings Joyce Evette, Donnell, Carolyn Patrice, Sandra, Edwin Stacey, Bruce Wayne, and Sherry Lee.

Michael was one of the sharpest men known to his family and friends and had a special gift of bringing laughter and love and touched lives all over. He lived a great life, unapologetically.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00pm on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home - Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr. Funeral Service will be held at 12:30pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home - Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr. Committal Service to follow at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
