Michael Patrick Carrigan sadly passed away on October 5, 2022 after a brief battle with kidney cancer. He was 74.
Mike was born on September 21, 1948, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1968 then enlisted in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1974. He then attended the University of Texas at El Paso where he studied Metallurgical Engineering.
Mike was an avid football fan, gun enthusiast, workaholic, control freak, loyal Amazon shopper, best advice giver, devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. Mike met and married his soul mate making his life complete, he found true happiness when surrounded by family. He never met a stranger and could talk to anyone for hours about anything, but let me shut up.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Katherine Carrigan and great-grandson Colton. He is survived by his wife Sue Carrigan; daughter Whitney Rigsby (Mike); granddaughters Lindsey Rees (Sam); Taylor Hradek (Patrick); Rachel; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00pm on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive, El Paso, TX. Committal Service will be at 10:00am on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson, El Paso, TX.
