Merton E. Lyon

Merton Lyon, 78, promoted to glory on February 13, 2012. Merton is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mildred, of 58 years; daughters, Deborah and Patricia; granddaughter Allisha; great-granddaughter Kalia. He was preceded in death by his son, William. Merton served 21 years in the Army. He participated as a leader in the Boy Scouts. He was an active member of the Salvation Army church for many years. Services to begin at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors on February 17, 2012 at 9:30am with Lieutenant Ryerson’s officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
