Merle Arlene Maxwell

Merle Arlene Maxwell (nee Roberts), 77, lost her valiant battle with cancer on June 10, 2008. She was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and dear friend who will be sorely missed. We shall remember her sparkling blue eyes, brilliant smile, her great love of roses, her tenderness with children, and her unconditional love and support of us all. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Willard Lee Maxwell, two sisters, Eloise Sutton of Blue Rock, Ohio and Norma Jean Thompson of McConnellsville, Ohio. Four children, Debra Field (Mark) of St Peters, Missouri, James Maxwell (Gayle)of Queen Creek, Arizona, Naomi Taylor of Plano, Texas, and Rebecca Maxwell of El Paso. Seven grandchildren, Jennifer Gutierrez (Ernesto), Joy Field, Michael Robbins, Christina Maxwell, Kaitlyn Maxwell, Aren Taylor, and Lauren Taylor. Two great-grandchildren, Sebastian Field and Alexander Gutierrez. In Iieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association at 909 E. San Antonio, El Paso, TX 79901. Graveside Service will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 13, 2008 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
