Maurice Anthony Roberts

Maurice Anthony Roberts, 79, passed away October 24, 2011. Maurice was a life long fan of the Chicago Cubs. He retired from Eureka after 35 years of service (1957-1992). He continued to work as an accountant from home until only a few months before he passed. His hobbies included gardening, woodcraft and he will always be remembered for adoring and spoiling his dogs. He is survived by his three children, Karen Roberts, Alyson Aashiem, and Mark Roberts; five grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren from his first wife, Jean Roberts. He is also survived by his second wife Josefina Rosales Roberts; step children, Oscar, Aleida, Saul, Sandra, Alonso, Alfonso, and Noemi, 21 step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren; sisters, Joan Cassidy, Eleanor Kerfoot, and Bernadette Roberts all of the United Kingdom. Visitation will be from 4:00-9:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. Scripture Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, located at 9521 North Loop. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and will always remain in our hearts. Family will serve as pallbearers. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home- Americas.
