Matilde Stires

Matilde Stires, 83, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at her home. She was born in El Paso, Texas on December 17, 1932 to Andres Castaneda and Angelina Apodaca. She is survived by husband Joe Stires, daughters Rosalie and Susan, sons Joe, Robert, Richard and Michael, sisters Roberta, Lupe and Gloria, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Mass will be said at 11:00am on Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Thomas More Catholic Mission. Interment will follow at 12:15pm at Desert View Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
