Mary V. Williams

Mary V. Williams, 74, passed away Friday, March 4, 2011. She was born September 8, 1936 in Calvert, Texas to Mr. & Mrs. Oscar Williams. She was a nurse for over 30 years until retiring in 2006. During this time she worked various jobs that allowed her to offer her special touch to the many lives she came into contact with. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend; she will be greatly missed. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Henrietta Williams; her husband, Leonard O. Williams; and seven siblings. She is survived by her two sons: Audwin C. Williams (Lily) and Daryl D. Williams; daughter, Debra D. Hazzard; grandchildren: LaShana R. Williams, Angela N. Williams, Elizabeth M. Williams, Keith Williams, Quentin Williams; and great-grandchildren: Zipporah R. Williams, Kayla A. Wright, Zavion C. Williams, and Rafael Wright JR. Visitation will be held Wednesday March 9, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 11:00 am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3400 Wyoming. Interment to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
