Mary Sandra Anaya-White, 61, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Sandy is survived by her mother Carmen V. Anaya; sisters Terry Anaya Connell (Mark) and Melissa Anaya Hayden; her brother Gilbert (Alice); and her nieces and nephews Nicole Valdez, Alexandra Valdez, Erin Hayden, Matthew Anaya, and Joshua Anaya. She is preceded in death by her father Gregorio Anaya, Jr., her maternal grandparents Felipe and Maria Vera, and her paternal grandparents Gregorio and Socorro Anaya.
Sandy fought a long and valiant battle with multiple sclerosis for many years. Despite multiple setbacks, she remained upbeat and never lost her sense of humor. Sandy was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, loved to sing along to the oldies, and loved a good burger. She graduated from Ysleta High School in 1979, worked in finance, was a cool big sister, and hosted awesome backyard parties. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Gathering of Remembrance 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM with a Rosary at 10:00 AM and a Scripture Service at 10:30 AM, Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Graveside Service will be at 11:30 AM at Memory Gardens of he Valley.
