Mary R. "Monin" Santiago

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary R. Santiago, affectionately known as “Monin”, a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. Our beloved Mary left us while sleeping peacefully at her daughter’s house in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 8, 2021. Mary was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on November 1, 1923. She loved to cook, dance, entertain guests, and always took pride in keeping an immaculate house. Mary treasured her family and friends and embraced every moment she shared with them. Most of all, she instilled strong values in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; values that have served and will continue to serve them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband Angel Bermudez Santiago, her parents: father Juan R. Rivera, mother Francisca, and sister Aida Santoro. She is survived by her children, sons: William Santiago and wife Lucy, and Edwin Santiago and wife Linda, and daughter: Eileen Martinez and husband William. Mary also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren, ten loving great grandchildren, and an extended family to forever cherish her legacy.
