Mary Lou Jackson, 84, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 in Dallas, TX.
Mary Lou Jackson was born in Kansas City, Kansas on September 18, 1932 to Ferdinand and Ruby Steuve. She attended catholic school from elementary through high school. Mary Lou met the love of her life, Avery Jackson, in Kansas City and married on February 17, 1949. She was a devoted Army wife and mother, traveling and stationed throughout the U.S. and Germany. Mary Lou and Avery Jackson then settled in El Paso, TX with a family of five children in 1967.
Mary Lou loved spending time doing crossword puzzles and enjoyed her daily walks with husband Avery. She was an excellent cook and was especially known for her German Chocolate Cake.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by per parents; Ferdinand and Ruby Steuve, husband; Avery Jackson, and brothers; Robert Steuve and Jim Steuve. She leaves behind her five children; Kathy Abell (Dan), Linda Moreno, Terry Alderidge, Debra Jackson, and Rodney Jackson (Judy), seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Thursday, December 01, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 02, 2016 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
