Mary Leanos-Hettiger

Today, we return to Heaven one of God’s angels, Mary, a beautiful and outgoing soul who loved her family and friends so very much. A strong, independent, loving woman, with a big heart; when Mary loved, she loved big. There wasn’t a soul Mary wouldn’t lend a helping hand to. Mary was an amazing and dedicated mother to all of her children: Michael, Julia, Daniel, and Alana. She loved each of them very much and uniquely, and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her children. Her love for them went above and beyond, so you can imagine the joy Mary felt when she became a grandma. She loved her grandbabies Roselyn, Leila, baby Liam, and her unborn grandbaby Adan. They gave her much joy, laughter, and—most of all—love. Mary was a beautiful, loving wife to her husband, Ron. She would often say they were soul mates, and Mary loved him very much. They had a beautiful marriage with no dull moments. They shared many inside jokes and could make friends with complete strangers. Mary loved all the gestures and surprises that he would give her and was grateful he gave her the honor to have her parents live with their family. She loved him very much. Mary was also an amazing daughter and sister. She loved and adored her parents, Juan and Maria Leanos, and gave them a beautiful life, sharing a lifetime of memories with them. She spent much of her time bringing her brothers and sisters together for special moments. Mary loved music, dancing, laughing, cooking, traveling, and staying in bed to binge watch shows and movies. She loved being with her loved ones and friends, spending time with her dog, and taking care of her plants. Mary will be dearly missed, never forgotten, and always loved. She will be immortalized through the love and memories of her family, friends and all the lives she touched. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary to follow at 6:00pm on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass.
