Mary Lou Happe

Mary Lou Happe, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, peacefully left us on February 26, 2011. She leaves behind her loving family; daughter, Judith (husband Thomas), and grandchildren, Andrew and Alexandra. Son, Ronald; grandchildren, Christopher, Kourtney, and Ronald Jr.; great grandchildren, CJ, Kayla, and Raven, and cousins, William J. Steimer, Jr. and Margie Ann Donovan. She was preceded in death by her husband, SSGT Freddie W. Happe; and parents, Wilfred and Mary Butts. Life as a military wife brought her to El Paso where Mary Lou touched many lives as a teacher for 50 years. The majority of her career was at Dowell Elementary in the El Paso Independent School District. Mary Lou had a host of great family and friends who will miss her gregarious laugh and shining smile. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 5:00- 8:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Interment will take place at St. Stephen Cemetery in Fort Thomas, Kentucky at a later date. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
