Mary Flores

Mary Barraza Flores entered into the hands of her Lord on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the age of 85. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She spent her childhood in Smeltertown (El Puente Columpio), and later lived the remainder of her life in her beloved neighborhood of Buena Vista (El Puente Colorado). She was preceded in death by her parents Josefina Rosales Barraza and Nicolas Barraza, and her loving husband Edmundo George Flores. She is survived by her beloved children: Martha Montoya (Ricardo), Victor Lozano (Raquel), Sindi Flores, Carlos Flores (Sandra); 11 loving grandchildren: Amanda Lozano, Carlos Flores, Jr. (Ronald), Nicole Walker (Captain Michael Donald), Danielle Flores, Joshua Garcia, Billie Lozano (Dawn), Maegen Flores, Victoria Garcia, Gabriella Lozano, Sarah Lozano, and Ricardo Jr.; and 1 beloved great-grandchild: Isabella Jeanne Walker. Her love, laughter, and wisdom will be greatly missed. Her strength and devotion to her family and friends was a beacon of hope that will never lose its flame. Our family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to all family and friends who have helped us through this difficult time. We are also immensely grateful for the exceptional work of the doctors, nurses, and all other staff members of The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus, Cimarron Park Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Hospice El Paso for giving her the best care in her final moments in this world. We ask all family and friends to join us in celebrating the life our beloved matriarch and new angel in heaven, Mrs. Mary (Maria de Jesus) Barraza Flores. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., with Holy Rosary at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at Santa Teresita Catholic Church, 3401 Zapal Ave. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, NM. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr.
