Martha V. Limas

Our Mother; Martha V. Limas, 90, entered into eternal rest on July 3rd, 2023. She was a Graduate from Jefferson High School as well as a proud band member.

Mom was a beautiful lady that always carried herself well. She was a pillar of strength, always ready to help any one in need. She was courageous, wise, and loving, she always knew the right words to say. Everyone would come to her for advice. Her Faith in God kept her strong. Each one of us knew we could depend on her. Mom taught us many life skills but the most important was love of family.

She was happiest when we were together, laughing, playing games, talking, joking around. The look on her face said it all. That beautiful smile and a twinkle in her eye. She loved to have fun. She also loved her dogs Princess and Baby.

Mom loved listening to music, singing, playing the piano, watching movies, preparing our favorite meals, playing board games, volleyball, anything that would bring pleasure to our family,

Mom supported us in our dreams, goals and accomplishments. Mom kept our family strong including cousins, friends and extended families; all were welcomed. All were loved; family traditions were important. 

Our Mom is survived by her loving Husband of 70 years, Ricardo Limas Jr.; Son, Richard Limas III (Lupita); Daughters, Martha Peña (Ventura), Nancy Limas and Gloria Limas. Leaving behind 4 Grandchildren; Angelique Lopez, Jack Lopez, James Ramos and Jackie Barron Ramos. Also 11 Great Grandchildren to honor and cherish her memory.

Mom is preceded in death by her Parents Ignacio and Florentina Velasquez; Siblings, Pete Velasquez,  Ignacio Velasquez (Lupe), Herbie Velasquez (Anna), Alfredo Velasquez (Esther) (Audrey), Beatrice Anguiano (Joe) and Carmen Edwards (Bill). Her Grandson, Michael Ramos and Granddaughter, Martha Lopez.

A Gathering will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary starting at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr, El Paso, Texas 79907. A Mass will begin at 9:30 AM on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Our Lady of the Light, 4700 Delta Dr, El Paso, Texas 79905. A Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, Texas 79906. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home- Americas.
