Martha Ann Crosby Gipson (Liggins)

Martha A. Crosby Gipson (Liggins), 64, joined our Lord on Tuesday January 19, 2010. Martha was born in Centralia, Illinois in 1945 and moved to El Paso, Texas in 1970. Martha worked for the United States Postal Service for 26 years, she retired in September 2007. She took many trips to visit her family and friends all over the United States. She was always full of life and wanted to help people when in need. Martha was admired for being very kind and down-to-earth. She volunteered in various city and community organizations. Her presence was felt anytime she was near and she will surely be remembered forever more in our hearts and soul. Martha was a member of the Sage Hall Chapel on Fort Bliss. She was a member of the El Paso community for 39 years. Martha is survived by her sister, Jewel Harron of Centralia, Illinois, sons Marvin Jerome Liggins of Fort Collins, Colorado, Carl Douglas Liggins of Denver, Colorado and Derek LeRoy Liggins of El Paso, Texas. Along with Marvin is his wife Tina Liggins and children Ian Adams, Shea Liggins, Marcus Liggins, Xavier (David) Liggins, and Curystin Liggins with her great grandson Jalil Liggins. Along with Carl Douglas Liggins is his wife Lina Liggins. With Derek Liggins is his wife Alicia (Lily) Liggins, and children Kyree Liggins, Kiani Liggins, and Kiante Liggins. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Service: 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Memorial/Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
