In Loving Memory Marjorie A. Short

Marjorie Ann Short, born September 23, 1933, departed this earthly life on August 11th, 2022.

She is preceded by her loving husband, Captain Joseph A Short Sr, and her son, Private First Class Brian A. Short. She is survived by her son Jeffery and wife Virginia, son Joseph Jr, daughter Lori, son Michael and wife Lory, eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

A long-time resident of El Paso, Marjorie was a volunteer at William Beaumont VA Hospital, and founder/Queen Bee of Red Hat chapter “Red Hat Tomatoes” for over 20 years. She loved her family, a good beer, and a great crossword puzzle, and was cherished by all who knew her.

Marjorie’s Memorial Service will be held at 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Inurnment will follow at 10:00 AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests donations be made to the following organizations: Global Hospice of El Paso or Veterans Admiration.
