Marisela Jimenez

August 3, 1971 — August 19, 2022

Marisela Jimenez-Garcia was born to Faustino and Manuela, two loving parents, in Los Garcia Meoqui, Chihuahua on August 3, 1971. Living on the outskirts of the city, she lived a simple country life with her siblings, Cecilia, Luis Raul, Roberto, Flor Patricia, Hermila+ and Rogelio. With support from her parents she was able to complete her high school years. After high school she went on to pursue a technical career in accounting. Later on, she accepted a position as a Financial Receptionist at a bank in Delicias Chihuahua, where she was known for her beautiful professional attire and matching accessories. She was well respected among her clients and colleagues and was sought out by her supervisors for her warm personality. Marisela also enjoyed participating in many social events, most known for winning a local pageant. Often times Marisela recalled her youth as unforgettable and pure, having enjoyed the humble things of life. She proceeded to work until she moved to the United States in 1997.

Marisela married her one and only love, Luis Gerardo Jimenez on August 30, 1997 in Delicias, Chihuahua, where their encounter was a heavenly ordained match (Rm 8:29). She was then blessed with her children: Leslie, Emilie, and Gerardo who she raised and loved with all her heart. From their youth, she was always headstrong and taught them how to be meek, sympathetic and kindhearted. At age 35 both Marisela and Gerardo received Jesus Christ into their lives as their Lord and Savior (Jn 3:16). As their love towards the Lord grew so did their love for each other. She deeply loved her family in the most selfless way.

Throughout her life, she was faithful to her gift of service and hospitality. By the  grace of God, she was able to provide comfort and guidance to many who were received by her. From taking care of babies to young adults and her home-cooked meals will always be remembered by them. Being able to minister life and joy supplied by Him, she hosted countless church meetings and get-togethers at her home.

One of Marisela's favorite verses was (John 6:63) "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words which I have spoken to you are spirit and are life." We can truly say this was constituted in her. We can never recall her being angry, jealous, or ill-hearted towards anyone even when unrighteousness was done to her. She will greatly be missed by all who knew her. But we can find much needed peace in (Romans 8:28) "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His Purpose. Amen..."

Amen....
