Marina Gonzalez, a beloved mother and cherished by her family, closed her beautiful eyes to sleep and woke up in heaven on July 3, 2023. She was born on November 4, 1937, in El Paso, a city that she would always call home.

Marina was known by all for her unwavering love and devotion to her children. She led with her love for her “diosito”. Her faith in God taught her children anything was possible with God by your side. She left a profound impact on all those she touched.

Marina was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Ramon Peregrino and Josephina Estrada Peregrino, and her dear sister Esther Uribe. Marina is survived by Cruz Gonzalez Jr., Guillermo Gonzalez, Yvonne Montenegro, and Velma Gonzalez Sasser - her four adoring children whom she loved dearly. Her memory will also be cherished by her brothers Santiago Peregrino, Ramon Peregrino, Oscar Peregrino, Hector Peregrino, Edmundo Peregrino; ten adoring grandchildren; and four precious great-grandchildren; and her former husband; Cruz Gonzalez

Marina's life exemplified resilience and perseverance through every obstacle she overcame. Her infectious laughter, kind eyes, and nurturing spirit provided comfort to those around her. Family described her as an unwavering source of strength and support in times of need.

Her genuine warmth made those around her know they were loved.  With a kind smile that could light up a room, she effortlessly brought people together and fostered a family filled with faith and love. Marina was known for her compassion and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Her generosity touched the lives of many, and her absence leaves a void that will be deeply felt.

As we mourn the loss of Marina Gonzalez, let us remember her fondly and honor her memory by embracing kindness, compassion, and keeping faith in God which she embodied throughout her life. Though she may no longer be with us physically, her love and guidance will forever remain in our hearts.

Marina Gonzalez's legacy as a beloved mother, and beacon of strength, will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
