Mariano Julio Varela

Varela, Mariano Julio, 60 God has chosen to take this gentle Giant to be with Him on Nov. 7, 2007, Mariano Varela, Jr. (Butch) survived by his wife Martha G. Varela, his children: Virginia Varela, Mariano Varela III, Martha S. Varela, Jorge Varela, Patricia Maese-Lea, Mario Varela. He is also survived by his sisters Martha A. Varela-Serrao, Ginger Varela-Mc Girr, his brother Joseph William Varela. His grandchildren: Christian Varela, Dominic Varela, Noel Varela, Jorge A. Varela, Jr., Teresa G. Varela, Viviana Varela, Vianna Varela, Vianne Varela, Elliot Varela, Michael Maese, Paola Varela, Roberto Varela, Alexis Varela. He spent most of his time with his nieces and nephew Kimberly A. Blair-Santaella, Aurelia Jenny Blair-Seanez, Michelle E. Blair, and Oscar D. Seanez. He enjoyed the simplest things in life. He was a proud United States Marine, fought in the battle of Kah-san in Vietnam were he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. We would like to thank the office of Dr. Chesbro for all that they did. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 12th, from 4 to 9pm, with a vigil at 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home- West. A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Nov. 13th at 9:30 am at St. Jude Catholic Church, interment to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.
