Mariano was born on April 3, 1934 in El Paso, TX. He was a proud graduate of Bowie High School C/O 54’ ‘Once a bear always a bear.’ After graduating, he joined the US Army Airborne where he served from 19 July 54 to 8 July 57 in the 11th airborne division as a parachute rigger and repair. He was awarded the national defense service medal and received his parachute badge. After serving his country, he worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years as a letter carrier. He retired in 1988. Known to all his friends and family as Red or Colorado, he played Men’s Fast pitch Softball and coached for over 50 years.
He was a loving father to David(Ely), Hector(Sandra), Andrew(Dinorah) and Kristine and a proud grandfather to Melany, Nichole, Hector, Eli, Ian, Oriams and Paloma. He is also survived by his sisters Emma and Juana.
We are at peace knowing that he is now resting in heaven with his wife, parents, daughter, grandson, and brother.
We love you dad forever, miss you but never forget you.
