Marian Long

Marian Keiko Long, age 67, passed away on August 4, 2008, after a valiant fight with multiple myeloma. She was born in Oceanside, CA on December 1, 1940. Marian was a graduate of San Benito High School, San Benito, TX and Baylor University, Waco, TX, with a degree in Elementary Education; and later, graduate studies in Special Education. She taught for nearly 40 years in the El Paso Public School System. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Chikamori and Mary (Hattori) Tachibana, by her brother, Lt Richard Tachibana, USAF; and by her husband of 29 years, Alan Dee Long. She is survived by a sister, Anne (Howard) Dolloff of TN and brother, Allan Tachibana of El Paso, along with many nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be private at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
