Maria Wright

Maria M. “Mary” Wright, 90, died February 20, 2008, after a long illness. She was a proud Bowie High School alumni and worked for years at Miller Cleaners. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and stayed a Dallas Cowboys fan until the end. She is preceded in death by her parents Macedonio and Angela, daughter, Raquel Sandoval and siblings, Petra, Francesca, Enrique, and Angela. She is survived by her daughters, Grace S. Wilson of Harlingen, TX., and Pamela M. Perez of El Paso, TX., their families including grandchildren, Donna, Denise, Thomas and Dorothy, and numerous nephews and nieces. Special thanks to her caregivers during her illness: Catalina, Martha, Anita, and Soledad. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm, Monday, February 25, 2008, at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass with a vigil/rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 4800 Byron. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 8700 N. Dyer.
