Maria del Socorro Franklin passed away September 13, 2008. Visitation will be held from 5:00 -9:00 pm with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Last Viewing will be held from 8:30 am-12:30 pm at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. There will be a funeral procession to Chapel #2, Fort Bliss after Final Viewing. Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm, Friday, September 19, 2008 at Chapel No. 2, St. Michael’s, Fort Bliss. Interment: Fort Bliss National Cemetery. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jeff Lee Franklin; and sons, Joseph Lee Franklin, Charles Edward Franklin, and John Martin Franklin. She is survived by sons; Glenn David Franklin and James Patrick Franklin; daughters, Olivia Maria Franklin Seper and Mary Elizabeth Franklin.
