Maria Contreras Salas

Maria C. Salas, born May 25, 1928, passed away on January 12, 2018, at the age of 89. She will be forever close to our heart. She is survived by her daughters Juanita Salas, Alicia Salas and Josie Salas, her son Gonzalo Salas, Jr., her two grandchildren Christopher M. Salas and Natalie K. Salas and her two great grandchildren Julia K. Salas and Raymond M. Leyva III. She was a homemaker who was involved in politics and helping with many church events for many years. Visitation will be Thursday, January 18 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home 750 N. Carolina Dr. Mass will be held on Friday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church at 11:30 am at 9205 North Loop, followed by Interment at Ft Bliss National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
