Maria Guadalupe Rios

Maria Guadalupe Rios, 85, was called home on February 9th, 2013, surrounded by those who love her. She was born on Sep. 2nd, 1927, in Bermejillo, Durango, Mexico but spent most of the later part of her life in El Paso, TX, helping raise her adoring grandchildren and being around her family. She was an avid dancer and was in the folkloric group at the Wellington Senior Center. She was a wonderful mother to Victor, Myrna and Gloria Leticia that enjoyed brightening everyone’s day by listening and singing to music all day long. She was a beautiful, happy and loving woman that took pleasure in making everyone around her happy and smile. She loved to be in the company of family and her dogs, and was loved by all. She is survived by her daughter Letty Horton, her son Victor M. Rodriguez, and her grandkids, Jose Raul Loya, Jessica Leticia Loya, Victor M. Rodriguez Jr., Valeria Gonzalez and Myrna G. Sandoval. Honorary pallbearers: Jose Raul Loya JR, Jessica Leticia Loya, Victor M. Rodriguez, Jose Raul Loya SR, Raymundo Martinez, Tim Whiting. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass El Paso, TX 79904. Funeral Mass will be February 14, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 9025 Diana Dr, El Paso, Texas 79904. Interment will follow to Mt Carmel Cemetery.
