Maria Guadalupe Quiz de Diaz

María Guadalupe Quiz de Díaz, 86, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on February 3, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Federico Díaz, her youngest son Jorge Díaz and her granddaughter in law Susan Ann (Clancy) Pinal. She is survived by her son Conrado (Mercedes), daughters Isela (Rodolfo), Olivia, Olga, daughter in law Cristina (Jorge +), grandchildren Israel Díaz, Marco Díaz, Rodolfo I Pinal, Denise Pinal, Cristina Pinal, Eileen Díaz, Alyssa Díaz, Abigail Díaz. In addition, she is survived by great-grandsons Danny Pinal and Michael Pinal. And she is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces. She was born in Soledad, Coahuila, México to Antonia Yeverino Martínez and Doroteo Quiz Guerra on September 1, 1929. At a young age she lost both of her parents and went to live and be raised by her aunt and uncle, Cruz González and Agustiano Quiz Guerra. She married the love of her life, our late beloved father, Federico Diaz on February 4, 1951. They shared 64 wonderful years together; they worked hard to raise five children and had the satisfaction to see them all attend college. She was a happy lady who liked to sing, shop, cook and travel with her family. Visitation will be held on February 10, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr. from 5 PM to 9 PM. Funeral mass will be held on February 11, 2016 at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 4006 Hidden Way, El Paso, TX 79922, with interment immediately following at Memory Gardens of The Valley.
