Maria was born in El Paso, TX on September 15, 1947. She graduated from Bowie High School.
Maria worked for Manufacturing Co., then went on to own her own flower shop and also became an Optician.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Eloisa Medina Rodriguez and Pedro Acosta. Also, her only brother Antonio Acosta.
She leaves behind her husband of 54 years Federico Morones and her only daughter Rebecca Morones Ortiz.
Gathering of Remembrance will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Monday, October 28, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass 11:30 am Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 8011 Williamette. Inurnment will follow at 1:00 PM at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
