Maria "Mamia" Meraz

Maria "Mamia" Meraz, 83, entered into eternal rest on April 29, 2024 in El Paso, TX. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Matilde Meraz. Sons, Luis Meraz and Beto Meraz. Parents, Isabel Hernandez and Ester Garcia de Hernandez. Maria is survived by her loving sons, Angel Meraz and Miguel Meraz. Daughters, Alicia Ullrich, Marisela Meraz, Elena Meraz and Josefina Meraz. Brothers, Javier Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez and Salvador Hernandez. Sisters, Suzanne Hernandez, Benita Hernandez, Lucy Hernandez, Celia Hernandez and Christina Hernandez. Also leaving behind 21 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren to honor and cherish her memory. Maria was very loved and will be dearly missed. 

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with Rosary starting at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., El Paso, TX 79907. A Mass will begin at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at St's Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 673 Old Hueco Tanks Rd, Socorro, TX  79927. A Graveside will then follow at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home- Americas.
