Maria Luisa Rodriguez

Maria Luisa V Rodriguez, 94, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024. She was born into the Vargas family and raised in San Elizario, Texas. She resided in Socorro, Texas since her marriage into the Fresquez - Rodriguez family. She was preceded in death by her husband Raul (Chito) Rodriguez, Sr. of Socorro, Texas and her daughter Lillian R Marquez. She is survived by her daughter Rose Mary Rodriguez, and sons Raul Rodriguez Jr., Gilberto Rodriguez, John Rodriguez, and Robert Rodriguez, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sister Josephina Martinez, and an exceptionally large extended family. 

Mom, Nana, you have always been "the wind beneath our wings" placing us before you. 

All your pain and grief are over. You are safely home with your Heavenly Father celebrating the completion of your earthly lesson!

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., El Paso, TX 79907. A Mass will begin at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 131 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907. A Graveside Service will then follow at 2:30 PM at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79907 where Mrs. Rodriguez will be laid to rest next to her husband Raul Rodriguez, Sr.
