Maria P. Kerwin

Maria P. Kerwin passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the age of 76. Born and raised in McAllen, Texas, she was a long-time resident of El Paso, Texas. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Enrique and Bonifacia Pena; sister, Consuelo; and brother, Enrique Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Eva and Gloria; brother, Frank. She is also survived by her husband, Joe Kerwin Sr.; her daughter Leticia; son, Joe Jr.; son, Jesse and daughter-in-law, Iris Kerwin. Furthermore, she leaves 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren that she loved with deep devotion. She also leaves many wonderful extended family members that include great nephews, cousins, and nieces and above all many loving friends in the city of El Paso and other Military areas in this country. Maria and Joe Sr. were married over 50 years and enjoyed many tours while he served in the military. They were able to serve and travel throughout Europe, Asia, and South and Central America. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 pm with a Vigil to begin at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass; El Paso, Texas 79904. Graveside Services will be conducted at 10:00 am Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Please make donations to the Alzheimer Organization.
