Maria L Garcia age 79, was greeted at the gates of heaven on June 22, 2010, by her 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Living life to it’s fullest, and dancing the night away with a smile from cheek to cheek, you could find yourself captured by her loving, caring heart and a simple conversation along with a cigarette in hand and glass of sweet tea on any given afternoon. Her blooming garden is an imprint of her love of life. Her caring spirit, sharing her wisdom and knowledge will surely be missed by all, and live in our hearts forever. She is survived by her family Macedonio (Maxine) Garcia of Houston, Texas, Michael Garcia of Lordsburg, NM, Martha (Ray) Urbina, of Denver, Co, Katherine McMillion of Alamogordo, NM, Martin (Tina) Garcia of Lordsburg, NM, and Graciela (Alfredo) Vega, 7 Granddaughters, 2 Grandsons, and 9 Great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday the 25th of June 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast at 4631 Hondo Pass from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary/ Vigil to begin at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday the 26th of June 2010 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 10000 Pheasant Road at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 8700 Dyer St. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
