Maria Francisca Valdez

Maria Francisca "Francis" Valdez, 86, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandma, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 17, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Rodolfo Valdez, and her sister Celia Calderon. She is also survived by her children Lucy Martinez (Cesar), Rudy (Hilda), Eduardo "Lalo", Rosa Ortega (Albert), Monica Stephens (Gordon), and Albert (Monica). She is also survived by her ten grandchildren Valerie, Tino, Rebeka, Adam, Hannah, Jimmy, Marlene, Bianca, Alain, and Amanda, and her great-grandchildren Emma, Anabel, Natalia, and Buddy, as well as many of her loving extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Luz Lucero Lucero and Rebeca Holguin Lucero, her brother Antonio Lucero, and her sisters Emma Valencia and Evangelina "Nina" Gutierrez. She is greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all. 

 A Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Vigil/Rosary at 6:00 PM, Friday, September 20, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina.
