Maria Felicitas Chavez, a loving housewife, passed away on May 31, 2023, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 82. She was born on May 18, 1941, in Mexico to her parents Cristino Morales and Victoria Herrera.
Maria was an incredibly kind and caring individual who always put others' needs before her own. She had an unwavering love for her family that was evident in everything she did. Maria's devotion to making a loving home for her loved ones surpassed anything else she did in life. Her love extended not just to her immediate family but also to her siblings whom she held near to her heart.
Maria is survived by her son Fermin Chavez and daughter Victoria Chavez who were the apples of Maria's eye. She is also survived by her siblings Daniel Morales, Eduarda Torres, Ysidra Morales, Ausencia Carrillo as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Maria's services will be held at the Sunset Funeral Homes - Northeast located at 4631 Hondo Pass in El Paso, Texas. A visitation will be held on June 8th from 5 pm to 8 pm and a Rosary at 6:00pm where friends and family can share their fond memories of Maria. On June 9th there will be a Mass service held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church located at 2709 Alabama St in El Paso beginning at 10 am. A graveside service will follow immediately after at Mount Carmel Cemetery located at 401 S Zaragoza Rd where Maria will be laid to rest forever.
Maria may have passed away, but we know that we are blessed with countless memories of the time spent with such a genuinely lovely person who always aimed to bring joy into those around her. We will never forget the kindness, love and care she showed to us and will forever be grateful for having had her in our lives. May Maria rest in peace.
