Maria Josefina Cosio

Maria Josefina Cosio, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend joined our Heavenly Lord on May 24, 2008. We rejoice in knowing that our beloved mother is now looking over our family as an angel in Heaven. Mrs. Cosio was a longtime resident of El Paso and was a member of San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church. She worked for Levis Strauss for over 27 years. She will be remembered for her unending faith, compassion, kindness, and her exuberant love of life. Her passion for cooking blessed so many with one of a kind cuisines. Her strength during her loss of her health is a testament to her wonderful character. Mrs. Cosio was preceded in death by her parents, Angel and Alejandrina Jauregui, her brother Salvador Jauregui , and her son Patricio Jacquez. She is survived by her soul mate and loving husband of 40 years, Enrique Cosio, and her children Ana Lara (Eduardo), Lorena Zubia (Humberto), Adriana Franco (Aulio), and Martin Cosio (Ana), She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family that loved her. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. A special thanks to Dr. Kenyon Behkren, his staff and to Hospice of El Paso for their loving support. Visitation will be from 4:00- 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will be private. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
