Maria Soledad C. Loya

Maria Soledad (Chole) Loya, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister is now our angel. Born on May 21, 1940 in Jerez, Zacatecas, she lived most of her life in El Paso, Texas where she passed away on Friday July 8, 2011 surrounded by her husband, Hector F. Loya and all of her children. Chole was an energetic woman who extended her generosity and love to a wide circle of friends and family. Her marriage to Hector of nearly fifty years brought forth a large and devoted family. Chole and Hector were true friends and lifelong partners who loved to travel, dance, and live life to its fullest. Chole was a devoted Catholic who attended mass regularly at Sts. Peter & Paul as well as San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Churches. She is survived by her three sons, Hector Eduardo Loya, Alvaro Loya (wife Yvonne), and Cesar Loya (wife Monica), her daughter Brenda Loya, her grandchildren Phillip Edward Loya, Joshua Matthew Loya, Jacob Frank Loya, Sabrina Celine Loya, Melanie Jessica Loya, Isaac Cesar Loya and his baby brother due to arrive next month. Chole’s surviving brothers and sisters are Pedro Carrillo, Roberto Carrillo, Salvador Carrillo, Maria Garcia, Micaela Carrillo, and Sofia Murrillo, Memories of our Chole are treasured and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2011 with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:00 a.m. (Time Pending) Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
